Susan Hancock & Veronica Fernandez Invest in Future Generations Through Art
A discussion focusing on how to help children become more involved in the fascinating world of art and how best to begin collecting as a means of improving their creative development.
Susan Hancock, owner of Royal/T, will give a tour of the art of Royal/T while discussing its inception, how she started collecting art for her nieces and how it has guided her collection. "My nieces college funds are invested in art. After the housing bust and the Recession, I'm happy it is!" says Hancock. Discover why she thinks investing in art for your kids is a good idea, and learn how it's worked for her.
Veronica Fernandez, local art consultant, will discuss the importance of making your kids a part of the art buying process. Accompanied by a slideshow, topics will include how to look at art with children, how to stimulate their interest in art and build on it over time, the importance of art's subjective value, and an introduction to relevant artists who can teach children about creative growth.
