Tom Sawyer staged reading
A world premiere staged reading of Mark Twain's classic boyhood tale will be presented by City Lit Theater on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 7:30pm. The event will commemorate the centennial of Twain's passing. Mark Twain's work has been featured at City Lit before, most recently in Terry McCabe and Brian Pastor's adaptation of Pudd'nhead Wilson in 2008.
City Lit Theater is located at 1020 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. inside of the Edgewater Presbyterian Church building. City Lit Theater is located on the corner of Bryn Mawr and Kenmore and his one block west of Sheridan Road. City Lit is accessible by the Red Line and is less than two blocks east of the Bryn Mawr stop. The theater can also be reached by the 151 and 147 CTA bus lines at Bryn Mawr and Sheridan. Valet parking is available at Francesca's restaurant just across the street from City Lit.
