Teaching & Learning Workshop for K-12 Educators: Creating Portraits with Titus Kaphar
Teaching & Learning Workshop for K-12 Educators: Creating Portraits with Titus Kaphar Teaching & Learning Workshops are designed to help K-12 educators and program coordinators engage deeply with contemporary art, and develop strategies for using museums and the visual arts as a teaching tool. In this session, teachers will work directly with artist Titus Kaphar to learn strategies for exploring ideas with students through drawing. Teachers will explore the exhibition Titus Kaphar: The Jerome Project, investigate the history of the term "contemporary art," and discuss the unique opportunity of using works in the exhibition within classroom curriculum.
Don't miss this great opportunity to engage with other educators, gather resources for your classroom, and learning about upcoming programs and opportunities for your school!
Teaching and Learning Workshops for K-12 Educators is a free program. RSVP is required to attend. Dinner will be provided.
Educator programs are made possible thanks to a major grant from Wells Fargo.
