The Mound Builders / The Pale Horseman / Sacred Monster
The Mound Builders Lyrically, The Mound Builders are inspired by ancient history, life in the Midwest, and the mysteries of the cosmos. The Mound Builders released their debut album "Strangers In A Strange Land" in September of 2011. They recorded a new EP July 2013 with Dan Precision (88 Fingers Louie, Rise Against, Set Fire to Reason) at Sonic Iguana Studios. The 4 song EP entitled "Wabash War Machine" circumnavigate four of the bands favorite cardinal points on the musical compass:metal, stoner, punk, and doom.
The Pale Horseman PALE HORSEMAN is a four piece sludge metal band hailing from the South suburbs of Chicago, Illinois -U.S.A.
The band blends depressing sludge heaviness, pummeling riffs, and dual vocals with an industrial vibe to draw the listener in with a misanthropic world view and lyrical themes influenced by apocalyptic and paranormal subject matters.
Sacred Monster Formed in early 2012 out of a mutual love of Doom Metal acts such as Electric Wizard, Saint Vitus, and, of course, Black Sabbath, Sacred Monster has gone on to gradually include other influences from Thrash, Black Metal, Death Metal, and NWOBHM to arrive at their current style. Their music alternates between oppressive doom riffs, chainsaw thrashers, and eery acoustic passages. The band also has a love of lyrical topics such as mythology, Lovecraftian horrors, and even old Twilight Zone episodes.
