A few words about the evening
All proceeds from the evening will be used for theater audio equipment. This is a real event that launches the fundraising campaign for the TLF- French Lycée Theatre in San Francisco.
On Januray 16, 1964 The Beatles played an 18 show residency at the Olympia Theatre in Paris prior to breaking in America. Sometimes they played 2 or 3 shows in one day. It was on the 17th of January where they learned of their first #1 in the United States: "I Want to Hold Your Hand".
They closed each performance but shared top billing with French singer Sylvie Vartan or America's Trini Lopez. Their final performance was on February 4th.
In 1965 The Beatles Returned to Paris and played 2 shows at he Palais Des Sports on June 20th. Beatlemania was alive and well in Paris!
Join The Sun Kings on February 27th as they recreate the sets from both of these appearances, as well as performing hit and b-sides spanning The Beatles amazing career!
