APICC Presents, Indivisible: An evening of South Asian American Poetry
From basketball courts to Bollywood, from the Grand Canyon to sugar plantations, from Hindu-Muslim riots in India to anti-immigrant attacks on the streets of post 9/11 America, poetry takes the stage as we showcase writers from INDIVISIBLE, the first anthology of South Asian American poetry. Featuring American poets who trace their roots back to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, we present an exciting range of voices from formal and experimental styles to slam poetry, performance poetry and traditional South Asian forms. Poetry reading followed by reception with DJ Tablapusher, and book signing.
Featured poets include Ravi Chandra, Maya Khosla, Shailja Patel, Summi Kaipa, Neelanjana Banerjee and Pireeni Sundaralingam
