foolsFURY Presents: The Red Nose Clown: an exploration of human absurdity
The Red Nose Clown: an exploration of human absurdity May 15 & 16 As seen on the cover of American Theatre Magazine! Slots will fill fast! Pig Iron Theatre Company Artistic Director Quinn Bauriedel invites you to wear a red nose and explore the fragile and exhilarating territory of the clown. Without a safety net, tap into the clown's world which might not play by the same rules as the world we know. This is an adventure into idiocy, virtuosity, ridiculousness, absurd logic and comic vulnerability. The clown breaks all the rules of theatre, proposing a new order in which the performer sees the audience and in which the clown speaks the simple truth that all human beings fail gloriously and that failing can be hilarious. With little else than a red nose and the body that you inherited, this workshop will exploit each participant's unique way of encountering the world and will uncover the absurdity of being a human being on this planet. Take a leap into the unknown territory of your own lunacy.
