The Improv Art Show
The Improv Art Show - the hit of our recent festival - is back for two more shows April 16th & 17th at the Warehouse Theater in Downtown DC!
Three talented artists, three blank canvasses (one concealed from the audience), a bunch of art supplies, unbridled imagination & one lively emcee are mixed with the audience's suggestions, inspiration & attitude to create three one of a kind art works.
Our emcee Justin Purvis guides us through the night's creative process with engaging questions, comments and even snide remarks. He also keeps time. That's right, at 25 minute intervals our artists (Joe Brack, Ashley Ivey & Katie Jett Walls) will move to another of the three canvasses to work for the next 25 minute segment.
Throughout the process the audience is engaged by the artists, the emcee, & each other - adding touches to each piece of art created, each touch unique to that moment. A final rotation, more fun & artistry and we are left with fresh art works that are raffled off to lucky audience members. The last piece to be raffled off is the one that has been concealed from the audience. Be sure to take part in the raffle for a chance to take home what you helped create!
It's more of an event than a show!
