Melt: A Winter Concert
Foster Dance Studios' Company Dancers explore responsible urban living through movement.
Melt: A Winter Concert will feature seventy six dancers performing a roadmap of twelve fluid phrases, each comprised of movement with different textures and elements relating to green themes such as climate change and sustainability.
The soundscape will be an eclectic combination of classics from Stevie Wonder and Irma Thomas as well as hip and fresh electronica.
In partnership with the city of Evanston "I Heart Trees" project, Melt performances will contribute to making Evanston a greener, healthier and safer community by raising awareness and generating funds for this worthy cause. Attendees will be encouraged to make a donation to the "I Heart Trees" project at each performance, with each $250 raised representing a new Evanston tree.
