Patchy Sanders, Misner & Smith
Hailing from Ashland, Oregon, Patchy Sanders is a six piece "family band" of multi-instrumentalists, whose sound has been described as noir-grass, neo-folk, neo-Americana, or simply Alternative. Influenced by the broader folk revival of the last 70+ years, the band's three distinct songwriters draw upon diverse influences to bring forth a new, yet familiar sound. "Great musicianship, harmonies, and feel A really warm vibe that makes wherever you are standing, feel like the center of a Gypsy Caravan." Mason Jennings With their new release, "Seven Hour Storm", Misner & Smith have created an album of vivid, poetic songwriting, filled with some of the finest harmony singing around. Both actors & musicians, Sam Misner & Megan Smith met while doing the show "Woody Guthrie's American Song" and most recently starred in a production of "The Grapes of Wrath." Their love of folk, roots and Americana creates a contemporary, yet timeless quality in their songs. Each song is a story, a journey, a place, a time, an experience. There is nothing general in the songwriting, nothing vague. The imagery is sharp, and the lyrics plumb the depths of emotions with an ease and honesty that is personal and at the same time universal.
