KIMON KIRK and THE MEDS with very special guest TREAT HER RIGHT and THE CATBIRDS
Kimon Kirk is a bassist, singer, and songwriter based in Los Angeles. Since moving to LA from Boston in 2009 he has worked with Aimee Mann, Angus and Julia Stone, Brett Dennen, Gaby Moreno, and Kay Hanley. His self-produced debut five-song EP, Eye On You, was released spring of 2009 and he's currently finishing full-length solo album recorded at Paul Kolderie's Camp Street Studios. His fantastic band, The Meds features: Lyle Brewer - electric guitar, Jamie Edwards - keyboards of all kinds, Joe Klompus - bass guitar, John Sands - drumset
Also! This show is noteworthy as it will feature performances by some very dear and talented musical friends. First, The Catbirds. A new rocking combo led by the fearless Chandler Travis and his compatriots Dinty Child and Steve Wood, and anchored by the brilliant skinsman Rikki Bates. And in addition, a band that needs no introduction... so much so that I can't say who they are... yet. But members of it include: David Champagne, Jim Fitting, and Billy Beard.
