Band in Seattle live television taping with Ravenna Woods and Kris Orlowski

Come participate in the of taping of the television/web program "Band in Seattle" with Ravenna Woods and Kris Orlowski - Wednesday, February 4th, 2015, sponsored by Naked City Brewing and American Music. Each band will perform a 45 minute concert and participate in an interview program, "Sound Proof". Doors open at 6PM at Victory Studios, 2247 15th Avenue West between Queen Anne and Magnolia in Seattle. The show starts at 7PM and ends at approximately 10PM. Admission will include two free beers provided by sponsor Naked City Brewing and soft drinks and snacks.

Ravenna Woods:
We've been thrilled to watch Ravenna Woods evolve into one of Seattle's most unique, ambitious musical projects. The former-trio-now-quartet is set to release its third album, The Jackals, which frontman Chris Cunningham conceived while living in Kenya. The Jackals plays like a serious-weather day in Seattle, strong breezes blowing moods and melodies across a dim, mist-shrouded landscape. Cunningham, who also produced, introduces electronic elements and horns into the band's usual aggro-coustic stomp; imagine Trent Reznor with a beard and acoustic guitar and you're getting close.

Kris Orlowski:
Seattle-based singer/songwriter Kris Orlowski specializes in earthy, honest, emotional, and harmony-drenched folk-pop songs delivered with an eye (and ear) for the cinematic. Orlowski released a handful of well-received EPs before forming the Kris Orlowski Band with Greg Garcia, Mark Isakson, Torry Anderson, and Tyler Carroll in 2010. The group, who have drawn comparisons to artists like Matt Nathanson, Wild Feathers, and Josh Ritter, released their debut long-player, Believer, in early 2014.
