A revered HIV/AIDS doctor miraculously survives a head-on crash on the Golden Gate Bridge and struggles to recreate a meaningful life despite her severe physical disabilities. Her family is turned upside down, as her longtime partner becomes her primary caregiver and the only able-bodied parent to their disabled daughter.
