Beer School of Maine Class #1: Hop Knowledge at Maine Beer Co.
Join Mark, Maine Beer Company's Head Brewer, as he welcomes you into the brewhouse and teaches you how to experience the different aromas and tastes associated with different hops.
Every attendee will receive a flight of four beer samples from Maine Beer Co., including a never-before-tried beer from MBC's pilot system that has been brewed using experimental hops. Attendees will use this flight of Maine Beer Company beers to learn about hops, how their used in the brewing process, and the aroma and flavors they impart on the finished beer. You'll work towards identifying which hops are in which beers, and how to identify different varieties of hops.
This will be the first of Maine Brewers' Guild Beer School of Maine events and it's going to be a unique and fun experience that will get you inside the brewhouse at one of Maine's most well-regarded breweries. All levels of beer knowledge are welcomed to attend all Maine Beer School events. 21+ only.
