Swing Goth - Moving Party
Swing Goth is moving to Sullivan Hall! We're very excited to be bi-coastal on a more regular basis, and to be working with a fabulous venue that works better for our needs.

We'd love to get your support at this months dance, especially as the weather for our last two events was not in our favor. Thanks again to everyone that braved the gale force winds in January and the blizzard in February - everyone had so much fun, they forgot all about the weather.
In the spirit of moving, we're also buying free pizza for everyone to celebrate moving into the new venue. (Don't worry, we've already done the hard stuff.) Come for the no partner or experience required beginner dance lessons at Midnight, we'll take a head count and order pizza to feed the masses. What that means is at the end of the lessons it'll turn into a dance pizza party!
This is also our last beginners class in New York - our first intermediate classes start in April. In the beginners lessons, we teach people absolutely everything that they need to know in order to have fun dancing with a partner. While you can have fun dancing together after just one lesson, it generally takes 2-4 times going through the lesson to master the concepts and be ready for more, but everyone moves at their own pace.
Instead of the foot focused traditional approach to dance instruction, Swing Goth talks about the connection to your partner and how to lead and follow. We'll have you dancing BEFORE we ever talk about your feet.
Coming up soon, in April we'll be doing Twists and Turns I, in May we'll be doing Lifts and Dips, and we'll see how it's going from there. If you have any questions, feel free to contact swinggoth@gmail.com
PS- There's no bad blood with Don Hill's. Sullivan Hall is just a better venue for us because it's 18+ all of the time, they have availability on a Saturday night. Plus, it's right by the subway. Super easy!
