SLASHER follows Sheena, a young waitress in Austin caught between two worlds. But when she meets Marc, a washed up director who casts her as the "last girl" in his low-budget slasher flick BLOODBATH, she sees the opportunity to escape her demeaning job and suffocating family. Meanwhile, Sheena's mother Frances, a pill-popping, thwarted feminist who hates horror movies sits at home, confined her to a Li'l Rascal scooter, waiting As shooting begins, it becomes hard for Sheena to tell which monster is worse, the director who exploits her body with a camera lens or the mother who will do anything to stop him. Inspired by classic horror films like THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, HALLOWEEN, and FRIDAY THE 13TH, SLASHER is both horrifying and hilarious.
