Over the River and Through the Woods

Joe DiPietro, the author of last year's "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," is a pro at capturing relationships. In this story, Nick, the favorite grandson of two sets of Italian-American grandparents in New Jersey, has dinner with his grandparents every Sunday, but now he has a chance at a big job in Seattle. Once he manages to get the news out, his grandparents scheme to keep him in Jersey, even setting him up with a blind date. The snappy, rapid-fire dialogue of this Jersey family will have you laughing in no time, and while they may be Italians from Jersey, you might find yourself relating to them a bit too much.
