Event
Battle of the Bard
In this competition, three ensembles will perform scenes from three adaptations of Shakespearian plays, and you, our audience, will vote on which play we should put in our 2007/2008 season.
The first play competing is THE QUEENS by Normand Chaurette, an exploration of the backstage life of the women of RICHARD III. Also, we'll see a selection from S.A. Shipley's STARCROSSED, a prequel to ROMEO AND JULIET. The last play in the BATTLE is Tom Stoppard's famous ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD, the story of two minor characters in HAMLET. Your ticket gets you one vote - additional votes are only $1 each!
Finally, make sure you join us for a party after Saturday's performance. We'll have food and drinks, and we'll announce the winner of the BATTLE!
