NY Dance Exchange
The NY Dance Exchange is the annual artists exchange between the CEC/Community Education Center and NY based New Dance Alliance. The event presents an evening of dance and performance by an outstanding group of artists including both up and coming and established artists from both cities. This seasons Exchange brings to Philadelphia award winning Japanese modern dancer/choreographer, Mana Kawamura. And also, Cori Olinghouse, whose work has been presented extensively in NYC. She was seen in Philly with Bill Irwins Happiness Lecture in 2008. One of Philadelphias best known and respected dancer/choreographers, Myra Bazell will present a duet from a new work entitled "Melt". . And last but not least, Philly native, Khalil Munir, will perform an excerpt from "Humble Beginnings", a one man tap, hip-hop drama, a tour-de-force!
