Quantifying Environmental Impacts - the Emerging Business Imperative
Businesses are under increasing pressure to quantify accurately their environmental impacts. Suppliers of clean technology products and services need reliable data on their contribution. Come hear Steve Burt of EQ (www.eq2.us.com) talk about his work in this important field over breakfast on March 23 from 7.30 to 9.00 a.m. at McKinstry (5005 Third Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98134). There will be an opportunity after the meeting to tour McKinstry's new Innovation Center. EQ is a leader in sustainability risk management and environmental inventory systems using accurate environmental measurement and management processes to quantify, benchmark and report an organisations risks in regulatory compliance, operational impacts and financial costs.
Steve Burt has held positions in Dun & Bradstreet and British Petroleum, worked on change management projects with both Bain & Co and McKinsey, and provided strategic management on a multi-billion pound diverse business conglomerate. One of the largest projects he recently led involved measuring, reporting and advising on the environmental impacts and reduction targets for the second largest global airline provisions company, which services some 250 airlines.
