One Year to Live -- Kris Kington-Barker
In his book, 'A Year to Live: How to Live This Year as If It Were Your Last,' author Stephen Levine, describes his decision to live this way for a year, and the lessons he learned along the way. His experiences radically changed his view of the world, and forced him to examine his priorities. How would you redesign your life if you knew you had one year to live?
This course is an introduction to the year-long "One Year to Live" program that is being offered by the Hospice of San Luis Obispo County. That program provides you a chance to explore how your lives align with your values and matters of meaning.
This course is an interactive presentation that will include exercises, poetry and discussions to facilitate personal reflection and awareness.
The goal of the Hospice "One Year to Live" program is to learn how to deal with unfinished business and enter into a new and vibrant relationship with life. This introductory course could be your first step.
Kris Kington-Barker Is the Executive Director for Hospice of San Luis Obispo County and host for Central Coast Voices on KCBX Radio. She has over 40 years experience in healthcare from bedside care to hospital administration.
This course will be held on Tuesday, January 27 from 2pm to 4pm at Hospice SLO.
