After selling out shows across Europe including Poland's acclaimed Poznan Philharmonic, Grazyna Auguscik returns to Chicago for this special intimate performance at THE CAVE! Auguscik will be joined by her gifted ensemble of musicians with a special guest appearance by Dani Rabin of the Chicago-based Israeli ambient jazz duo - Marbin.

Singer, composer, arranger, and producer Grazyna Auguscik is one of the most intriguing contemporary vocalists on the world jazz scene today. Her unorthodox approach to rewriting classic works is at once a tribute to its authors as well as an adventure into uncharted territory, while her own compositions are fresh and original. Her elusive style challenges traditional definitions of jazz and show an artist with no boundaries.

Her professional music career began in Europe. Grazyna completed her studies in 1992 at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, and has since become a prolific
collaborator shearing the stage with such jazz notables as Jim Hall, Toots Thielemans, Michael and Randy Brecker, Kurt Rosenwinkel,  John Medeski, Terry Callier, Patricia Barber
and many others.

The Grazyna Auguscik Orkestar Universale Project, presented at Millennium Park in Chicago, received a standing ovation, reaffirming that music can communicate across boundaries
of any language.

"Auguscik and her ensemble sound like nothing else you ever heard; they are out of this world. This must-see performer is one of the best voices to be heard today."  - Howard Reich, "Chicago Tribune"

"... coolly sensuous voice, infectious music..."  - Neil Tesser

" With stunning use of her lithe, mobile voice she is doing important work in advancing the potential for imaginative jazz singing."    - Don Heckman, "L.A. Times"
