Brian Felsen and Elif Savas Felsen, with their son and two cats, have generously opened their doors to homeLA. On February 8th at 3:00pm, 5:00pm, and 7:00pm, Amanda Sutton, Andrew Lush, Elyse Reardon-Jung, Emily Marchand, Grand Lady Dance House (Jennie MaryTai Lui and Andrew Gilbert), Lindsey Lollie, Lionel Popkin, Rebecca Bruno with Samantha Mohr, Selwa Sweidan, and Yann Novak will present their work in response to the architecture and ethos of the family's San Marino home. Works will range from experimental dance, organized listening, and light installation mining the space for its expressive potential. Please help us embody this home and share in new original live performance that brings performance into domestic space.
Help us celebrate at the ((homeLA AFTER PARTY)) with food, drink, and musical performances at 8:00pm. see link: http://homelaafterparty.brownpapertickets.com/
A modular collective, homeLA advocates for experimental dance making and body-based art within the context of home. The project provides a platform for independent dance makers to develop new works in conversation with homeowners, co-artists, and guests by engaging various neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles.
homeLA prioritizes paying artist for their three-month rehearsal process and one-of-a-kind live performance. That is why we sell tickets. Thank you for your contribution of $15.00 per ticket to help us compensate homeLA artists!
homeLA is a project of the Pasadena Arts Council's EMERGE fiscal sponsorship program.
