Food Photography Basics with Robert Birnbach
Are you a practicing or wannabe food blogger wishing your pics looks as good as your food tastes? Have you always wanted to self-publish a cookbook of your family recipes that includes glamor shots of your apple grandmother's pie? We are thrilled to have the photographer Robert Birnbach with us for this two-part food photography class. Class One (3/6; 9a-12p or 1p-4p) In this three hour, hands on class students will learn simple basic techniques that they can apply to improve their photographs of food. This class is open to 10 people, but will be held twice, once at 9 AM and once at 1 PM so that up to twenty interested students can be accommodated. Students from the morning and afternoon classes will be gathered together for Class Two.
Class Two: The Group Gathering (3/23; 7-9 pm) After Class One the students will be asked to go home and take a picture that utilizes their new skills and knowledge. They will then email this photo to Robert who will compile everyone's photos into a slide show. In Class Two, all twenty students will gather together for an evening of wine, cheese, and photo friendly photo critiquing. Robert will help students to have a deeper understanding of the areas they are succeeding in and how they can improve.
