Mark Growden "Saint Judas" national CD and LP release.
Mark Growden's "Saint Judas" national release celebration featuring the premiere of "Coyote", a stop motion animation video by Christiane Cegavske, the creator of the award winning film Blood Tea and Red String and a special screening of "Martyr" by S.F. Filmmaker Thad Povey.
Four months after a narrow San Francisco release of "Saint Judas", Mark Growden is holding a solo residency at Porto Franco Art Parlor to celebrate its national release, now on CD and double vinyl LP. This will be the third time he is performing at Porto Franco. The first two shows sold out hours after being posted, so we are offering five shows with a special family-friendly Sunday matinee at 1:30pm to make sure everyone gets a chance to come.
In October 2009, Porto Franco Records and Mark Growden signed a recording deal for Saint Judas - Mark's first full length album of original songs in 8 years. We are now getting ready to produce two more albums of new material Mark has been writing and perfecting during his Winter residency in Los Angeles and Tucson. Mark will perform songs from his older albums, Saint Judas, and his current projects. And he just might have some special guests join him for some of the shows.
Bring a student photo ID to get $5 back at the door.
Shows: 8:30 pm - Thursday through Sunday, and 2pm on Sunday. Doors open half an hour before the show.
