Kate MacLeod & Kat Eggleston
Kate Macleod and Kat Eggleston recorded Drawn from the Well, released in 2003, and created a heavenly mix of traditional and original songs. Admirers of one anothers music for eons, the duo has performed together for ten years. Their distinctively different voices (Eggleston's alto tones, guitar and dulcimer paired with MacLeods more ethereal sound, violin and guitar) offers listeners an unbeatable two for one deal.
Eggleston says for the Blue Heron Art Center (her favorite Island concert venue) they will play a mix of original and traditional tunes and songs from England, Scotland, Ireland and U.S. She adds that they sometimes cover songs by the likes of Woody Guthrie or Andrew Calhoun.
MacLeod composes classic American music with a fresh bent from her Utah home. Her newest recording, Blooming, produced by Tim O'Brien, is earning rave reviews. Everything she does is magic,says Eggleston. Her fiddle and guitar playing, her writing, everything is wonderful.

Eggleston, who grew up on the Westside, spent the last couple of decades based in Chicago, but returned home in 2008 to be near family. She has delighted listeners for years with her flawless intonation, sweet melodies and sparkling humor. Eggleston has released 5 CD's to date, most recently Speak, 2009, an independent release.
In addition to beautiful guitar work and vocals, Eggleston plays hammered dulcimer. She has performed with Bohola, David Bromberg, the David Munnelly Band, Tom Dundee, Dennis Cahill, Michael Smith and many others. Tours have taken her to Europe, Australia, Ireland, England and Scotland througout the U.S.
