NEON Dir. Eric Bednarski Written by: Eric Bednarski Poland-UK 2013 52' "Neon" traces the history of the Communist-era neon signs of Warsaw, Poland, the context that generated them, the people and places connected with them, and the many meanings they have acquired since they were created.
DUNDAS STREET Dir. Sofia Bohdanowicz and Joanna Durkalec Canada 2012 9' Dundas Street is narrated from the perspective of an elderly immigrant woman who is unable to adapt to an urban landscape. The film follows the woman's efforts to find meaning in a city that she feels alienating, and tumultuous. In exploring the flaws and humanity of Dundas Street, she creates a spiritual connection with a Maltese fruit merchant and imagines the possibility of escaping with him.
THE BOOK STORY Dir. Ian Kowalski 2014 Canada 10' This film is a charming recollection of times past when books were the centre of Chris and George's universe, a time when books were the source of all entertainment. The Book Story unfolds to show the love and sacrifice that two brothers will endure to have just a few special moments with their favorite book. Their tale is one of perseverance and determination in order to find the escape that they are looking for and to provide an ongoing source of fuel for their imaginations.
