The Seattle International Cabaret Festival (SICF) kicks off this Friday,

and resumes Wednesday, Nov. 11 with an eclectic blend of renowned physical,
musical and visual cabaret artists from around the world.

the Keys (San Francisco) The Bad Things, Orkestar Zirkonium, Vagabond Opera
(Portland), and Peculiar Pretzelmen (Los Angeles). DJs include KEXPs Darek
Mazzone, Emerald City Soul Club, I (Heart) Shiva and Switzerlands Gypsy Sound
System.

From Nov. 11  15, the Pensione Nichols will be home to Poes Peculiar
Parlour, a bewitching multimedia evening of tarot readings, tea, visual art,
music, author readings and film screenings.

The Triple Door boasts spine-tingling performances by headliners Circus
Contraption and Vagabond Opera, as well as theatrical cabaret-rock outfit
Scarlet Room and beguiling Bay Area cabaret/burlesque-chanteuse Kitten on the
Keys.

The ACT Theater will host pop art clown Queen Shmooquan, Arnaldo! drag
chanteuse, and multi-artist show Cabaret Macabre that includes Chumbawumbas
Danbert Nobacon, amongst others.

The Can Can  ground zero for Seattles cabaret scene  will feature a diverse
assortment of performers that includes its own Castaways, Miss Mamie Lavona The
Exotic Mulatta, woozy retro-combo Gods Favorite Beefcake and late night DJ
appearances by I (Heart) Shiva, Darek Mazzone and Gypsy Sound System.
