New York Triptych Package
The Santa Fe Jewish Film Festival opens its Fifth Season with three films by or about New Yorkers. The "Tryptich" kicks off on Saturday, November 8th at The Screen with the critically acclaimed "Regarding Susan Sontag" which won Special Jury Mention at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. A pre-film Dessert Reception begins at 6:00 PM.
The "Tryptich" continues on Sunday, November 9th with "Sukkah City" at the Center for Contemporary Arts at 4:30 PM. What if the ancient "sukkah" was reimagined in contemporary terms? Come found out at this documentary about one of the most extraordinary juried architectural competitions, or as "The Atlantic Monthly" described it, "a happening". Drawings of selected drawings will be on display.
The "Tryptich" winds up with a DJ Pizza Party followed by the screening of "AKA Doc Pomus", the story of Jerome Felder who was wheelchair bound but went on to be one of the greatest songwriters of early Rock and Roll. As the "Huffington Post" put it, " 'Doc' doc rocks!"
