Esther Centers launched her Parent Coaching practice, Centered Heart, after a three-decade ride as a teacher in the Waldorf School movement. Her passion for teaching children at school transformed into wanting to help families be their best at home. Other interests include playing violin, enjoying nature with family, and exploring new ideas around Imagination, Inspiration and Intuition, and she loves working individually with students through the branch of her business called Centered Learning.
Raised in Seattle, Esther attended Western Washington University, focusing on child development. She earned her Waldorf teaching certificate from Rudolf Steiner College and Mercy College of Detroit and in 1983 was a founding class teacher at the Portland Waldorf School. Prior to moving to Santa Cruz where she taught for thirteen years, she worked for over a decade at the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor, where her son Elric and daughter Chorel (now ages 28 and 26) received their Waldorf education. Esther and her husband Scott Olmsted follow their bliss in Santa Cruz, California. She brings her many gifts to help parents and children find deeper levels of connection. Whether you're a parent of young ones or have pre-teens and up, and want to see what amazing relationships are possible in your family, Esther's talk will be of value to you. http://www.esthercenters.com/
