Experience Architecture Week: Architecture Matters Design Forum "Design Thinking"
Following the IDEO presentation the night before at Sacramento State University, AIA architects Saxon Sigerson, AI; Arturo Levenfeld, AIA; and Kris Barkley, AIA  will host a casual evening of discussion taking the topic of "design thinking" in architecture a step further.

Design thinking is the process of developing ideas and concepts related to the design of anything that can be imagined that might serve humanity or nature. Architects often think differently than those in other fields, but whether designing graphics, industrial products, homes or buildings, architects apply "design thinking" to find unique solutions.

Join us for a series of brief presentations intended to get
ideas flowing, followed by an open discussion on the design
thinking theme. Dinner available for additional fee.

Sponsored by: Milgard Windows & Doors, Inside Publications, Mohawk, SD Deacon/ Hogue , SMUD, and Caesarstone.

Wed, Oct 15, 5 pm - 8:30 pm, $10
AIA Central Valley, 1400 S St., Suite 100, Sacramento

Cost is $10 or FREE for students with valid student ID. Dinner and presentation are just $15.00 for all.

Experience Architecture Week is a public-outreach event designed to facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives; to create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity; and to highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture. The 2014 Experience Architecture Week is scheduled from October 10th-October 19th.

This year's event features eleven events over 10 days, and features the region's first Canstruction build benefiting the Sacramento Food Bank. Click here to learn more about Experience Architecture events.
