The Dumb Supper - Dinner with the Dead
The Dumb Dinner
An event for adults aged 18+
Join us for a evening of ancient tradition where the dead attend the living for a mystical silent dinner. This is going to be a dining experience that you will not want to miss!
We'll gather on November 1, when the veil between the living and the dead is believed to be it's thinnest, allowing for more accessible communication with our departed spirits. The Dumb Supper is the age old ritual of inviting deceased loved ones to the table to enjoy a meal and commune with us as we eat in ABSOLUTE SILENCE. A special chair is set up at each table and a meal is presented to our special "guests". Everyone at the table will place 2 tealights at this place setting to invite your departed to join us.
You are welcome to bring an item that you wish to display in honor of your loved ones and to call them to join us. We'll have a candle lit table and fireplace mantle set up where you can place your trinkets and photos, an alter of sorts. Please keep items small so we can accomodate everyone's treasures.
Our intended agenda of the evening:
5:30 PM - Cocktail hour, cash bar. Writing station available for those who wish to write notes to your loved ones then put them into the bonfire to send your message by smoke to the Heavens. Set up your stuff on the memory table.
6:30 PM - Welcome and opening with a quick talk about the origins of the Dumb Supper, Samhain, All Souls Day, etc. Followed by a blessing and an invitation to the spirits to join us.
7:00 PM - SILENCE. Dinner is served.
7:30ish PM - Break the silence. Pass the crystal talking stick to share a quick story with your table companions about your departed loved ones. Did you have any supernatural experiences during the dinner? Do tell!
8:00 PM - Happy Hour Mix and mingle with your old and new friends to close out the evening.
Suggested attire is black or dark colors to keep with the vibe of the evening.

In keeping with tradition, the courses of The Dumb Supper are served backwards. Awesome! Who hasn't wanted to start with dessert first??

BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR TICKETS PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE RULES:
***Event begins promptly at 6:30 PM SHARP. Once our 'ritual' begins, there will be no interruptions or additional admissions. No refund for late arrivals, so be sure to know your personal schedule before purchasing your ticket.
***Once the silence has begun, no talking, and stay in your seats. If you are interupting the experience for anyone, we will silently escort you to the door and out of the building until dinner is over. We will try to keep this quiet period at around 30 minutes. No refunds for the Chatty Cathys who need to be removed from the dinner. ð
*** Put your phones on silent and away in your pocket or purse. No phones on the tables. Also, no photos during our silent dinner, please. Photos welcome before and after our silent period.

1. No paper wristbands at this event! Upon registration you'll receive a keepsake bracelet that includes Angelite, Selenite and Amethyst. Look up their meanings. :)

4. Tea lights to represent your deceased spirit guests at place settings.
5. A peaceful feeling in your heart as you head home from a special evening.
