AAH Chapter tour of the Alex G. Spanos Heart Center

Join AIACV's Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) for a chapter presentation and tour of the new 124,000 sqft Alex G. Spanos Heart Center.
Dignity Health commissioned HDR to provide master planning and design services for the new Alex G. Spanos Heart Center at Mercy General Hospital.
Faced with growing demands, Mercy General Hospital identified the need to expand their nationally ranked cardiac program into a new west wing. The Heart Center will accommodate surgery, post-surgery intensive care, cardiac catheterization, a cardiac patient center for "one-stop" heart patient intake and diagnostics and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. In addition, a patient and family-focused interactive cardiac library will be provided in the center as a community service.
When: Wednesday,January 29, 2014
Time: 5:00 - 7:00pm, registration/security at 5pm sharp in the Heart Center Lobby, tour at 5:15 pm. Presentation to follow tour at 6pm in the North Wing Auditorium in the original hospital structure (not in the Heart Center but the adjacent building.)
Where: The Alex G. Spanos Heart Center,4001 J Street, Sacramento
Parking: Parking in North Wing Parking Garage is $1.50 per 1/2 hr or a max of $8. Street parking free after 6pm.
