Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards Jazzy Summer Nights Presents Bill Champlin With Special Guests
Please join us when Two Time Grammy Award winner Bill Champlin visits the winery for an encore performance for the grand finale of Jazzy Summer Nights 2014! Last Year Bill and his wife Tamara brought the house down with the help of some of his special friends including Al Garth, Garth Webber, Cliff Hugo, Mel Martin, Peter Welker, Gary Silva, James Preston who all had such a great time they are all coming back for more! Bill wrote great classics such as "After the Love is Gone", " Turn Your Love Around" and "Just To Be Loved". He was also the lead vocals for Chicago including their number one hit "Look Away". His version of "In The Heat Of The Night" is legendary. Bill was a member of the group Chicago for 28 years at the height of their popularity and now performs solo. Come see him live at Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards!
"He's known the world over as the soulful singer/keyboardist of the iconic jazz-pop band Chicago. His featured spots on the hits "Look Away" and "Hard Habit to Break" are among his mainstream highlights. But Bill Champlin's defining work with the Sons of Champlin and as a songwriter put him on the musical map long before he arrived in Chicago. Bill and the Sons were blowing the doors off venues back in the '70s - and they returned to doing the same in the late '90s and into the present." -- Greg Rule, Keyboard Magazine
