An Afternoon in Vienna
Join us for an afternoon of German-Austrian culture and music featuring the music of Brahms and a our very special guest, Granddaughter of Blessed Karl of Austria.
Her Imperial and Royal Highness, Maria Anna, Princess of Galitzine
An Afternoon of Enrichment Princess Maria Anna will honor our gathering with a talk about Austrian culture and our Catholic faith.
A Social Gathering Not to Miss Food and beverages for children and adults will be offered in the church hall, including finger foods, wine and cheese.
Special Entertainment Before the musical program begins, Br. Jonathan Ryan, S.J.C., a Masters graduate of the renowned Eastman School of Music, will give a brief introduction to Brahms waltzes so perfectly fitted to Viennese culture. Lorelei McDermott, Kristi McGonagle-French, Trevor Mitchell, Daniel Robinson, Paul Nicholson, members of our own St. Cecilia Choir will sing the Liebeslieder Waltzes (Opus 52 & 65) of Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) with piano accompaniment.
