"Net Works" Fashion and Education Show
Net Works is a local Detroit civic engagement effort to raise awareness and engage in community action that will lend a hand to a global problem: malaria. Join us for an elegant evening of fashion for the whole family at the The Wright Museum.
In this special fashion show event, the garments are made locally in Detroit with the help of educator-activist Fabayo Manzira recycling torn mosquito nets. The event will also include education on the presence of malaria in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as an African drum and dance performance.
A silent auction will take place in the Museum's Rotunda from 6 - 7:30 pm, with the fashion show beginning at 7:30.
Individual adult (15 yrs & up) ticket: $10 in advance/ $15 at the door Children (7 to 15 years old): $5 Family (3 to 5 people): $30 in advance/ $40 at door; additional family members are $5
Proceeds go to the Noowand Saaxoof organization for malaria prevention.
Come show us your fashion and we'll show you ours!
