An Outdoor Overture
York Youth Symphony Orchestra: An Outdoor Overture POSTPONED: Saturday, May 15, 2021, 3:00 p.m. York Expo Center; York Fair Granstand Doors open at 2:30 PM The concert starts at 3:00PM
The York Youth Symphony, under the direction of our conductor/director, Brian Buterbaugh, will present pieces from our winter and spring semester. These pieces include An Outdoor Overture and Polovtsian Dances. We will also feature two YYSO Concerto finalists, Abigail Wood (Violin) and Katrina Wolfe (Cello).
Tickets are required for this event.
COVID-19 Guidelines: - All attendees must wear their masks during the entire duration of the performance. - Attendees asked to bring a chair or blanket so they can sit comfortably on the track. - All attendees are encouraged to social distance. - All attendees are encouraged to stay home if they have any symptoms of COVID-19.
This concert will be recorded.
Mission: The YYSO creates a unique opportunity for elite youth musicians to learn a challenging repertoire with peers, perform in a variety of venues and expand their perspectives of what it means to be a musician.
