God's Neighbors
Violence entangled with religious fanaticism is a topic dominating the daily news. But "God's Neighbors" is more than a copy of reality; it offers a universal human access into a complex issue, which usually stays inaccessible for the outsiders. In an impressive multi-layered way the film tells about existential human needs like love, feeling secure and inner peace. If these values are within reach, humans are offered a foothold and an alternative to violence. Because of this, the film gives hope. The young actors, the camera work and the music, makes the access to the world of the protagonists easier.
