"...crystalline clarity of a chamber ensemble...complex, downright acrobatic three-part harmonies." - The Berkshire Eagle, Pittsfield, MA
Three stalwarts of the Northeast folk scene, beloved by club audiences and traditional dancers alike, offer a pretty evening of traditional and contemporary music from the British Isles and America, along with their own compositions. Their concerts feature bouncy instrumentals based on dance tunes, intricate three-part vocal harmonies, and a wide variety of folk instruments--some of which you may have never seen before!
Alice and Larry Spatz have been active folkies since the 1960s. They formed this trio with stellar hammered dulcimer player Jared Polens more than twenty years ago. They've played frequently on WAMC Northeast Public Radio, as well as Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, The Clark Art Institute, countless schools and libraries, and many times at Caffe Lena.
