Uncovering LEED 2009
Green Building Services, Inc. (GBS) will offer an overview and analysis into the green building movement, focusing specifically on upcoming changes to the US Green Building Councils LEED Rating System.
Drawing from their experience in helping to write the LEED 2009 Reference Guide, GBS experts will provide an outline of the proposed 2009 changes to key market sector rating systems. This informative session will help you improve your understanding of what is coming and what impacts these changes will have on your future projects.
Topics will include: relevant features of LEED version 3, LEED 2009 Rating Systems (focusing on New Construction, Schools, Existing Buildings) and the Living Building Challenge.

Elaine Aye, Principal IIDA As a principal at Green Building Services, Inc., Elaine brings a unique perspective to green building and sustainability initiatives. She represents, in her work and approach, the successful merger of the best of the interior design and architectural disciplines, materials, specifications, and green building. Her multidisciplinary background and diverse project experience, which ranges from residential and commercial development to state of the art convention centers, distinguishes her in the green building industry.
Brian A. Sehnert AIA, LEED AP A registered Architect and LEED Accredited Professional, Brian is recognized as an expert in the area of green building and sustainable design and construction. Brian has lectured on numerous subjects including environmental and passive design, photovoltaics and other advanced technologies. Brian serves as Chair of the AIA Central Valley Chapter Committee on the Environment, as well as Steering Committee member for the Northern California Chapter U.S. Green Building Council.
