Oh Boy
Oh Boy, an out of the blue first feature--the title comes from the Beatles songwon six Lolas, the German equivalent of the Oscars at this years German Film Awards, including Most Outstanding German Film of the Year, Best Director (Jan-Ole Gerster) and Best Actor (Tom Schilling). A whimsical, wry portrait of a likeable slacker filmed in shimmering black-and-white over 24-hours in the heart of Berlin, Oh Boy celebrates a side of the city tourists never see, populated by bohemians, ex-military men, and students who dont go to school, all negotiating the citys haunted past with its percolating social scene of late night bars, ubiquitous coffee shops and curious art events.
