Inside Llewyn Davis
Have the Coen brothers sold their souls to the devil in exchange for the best filmography in Christendom make that filmdom? No Country for Old Men, A Serious Man, True Grit They just keep on coming, and now there's this one, which wowed a jaded audience of critics at Cannes about a been-down-so-long folksinger in 1961. Bob Dylan? Nick Drake? Sixto Rodriguez? Dave Van Ronk? Maybe all, maybe none, only Joel and Ethan know for sure. T-Bone Burnett supervised the music, as he did with the Coen's hit, O Brother, Where Art Thou, to which Llewyn Davis is kin. The film won the Grand Prize at this years Cannes Film Festival, and also played the Telluride Film Festival.
