Event
Architecture Matters
Join hosts Arturo Levenfeld, AIA, Saxon Sigerson, AIA and Kris Barkley, AIA for a slightly different evening of discussion with architect Etienne Louw on the legacy of Finnish architect Alvar Aalto.
Many of us spent time in school pouring over the works of Le Corbusier, Wright and all the contemporaries such as Gehry, Meier and Koolhaas. Alvar Aalto may have been one who did not get much of our page turning time. He deserves a much closer look and this event with an architect who recently visited his works in Finland will allow us to thoughtfully catch up on this missing homework and discuss the relevance of his ideas for our ongoing work.
We will have a presentation followed by an open discussion led by Saxon Sigerson, AIA.
