Come Ye Thankful People - A Concert for Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a distinctly American holiday and serves as the launch of the larger holiday season. But how does one cultivate gratitude when time with family and friends is racked with strife and division or when the holiday season brings the blues rather than cheer? Vesper Chorale will explore the themes of the Thanksgiving season, celebrating the iconic holiday with traditional American music while also allowing for a bit of introspection. Enjoy works by American composers William Billings, Aaron Copland, Mack Wilberg, Alice Parker, and Craig Hella Johnson alongside other pieces by Jan Sweelinck, Franz Joseph Haydn, and John Rutter.
