Music doesn't get much more touching and homemade than it is in the hands of this singer-songwriting duo comprised of Catskill Mountain born Ency Austin and her West Virginian husband, Marc Moss (David Bromberg Band). Just a happy husband-and-wife twosome, their harmonizing voices and many instruments make a sound as sweet as whole wheat bread fresh out of the oven. Putting a new spin on folk classics, the Canal Street String Band is an old-time/ folk music supergroup with a great vocal blend and a multitude of strings. Phil Banaszak, Dave Ruch, and Jim Whitford use banjo, fiddle, twin mandolins, string bass, dobro and and guitar to bring classic American folk cheerfully into the modern day with a show that is "about as folksy fun as it gets."
