OSHPD Update Changes Affecting Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities in the new 2019 California Building Standards Code
Please join the AIACV Academy of Archiecture for Health (AAH) Committee for a presentation of regulations for design and construction for outpatient and hospital facilities, highlighting the changes from the 2016 CBSC to the 2019 CBSC, taking effect on January 1, 2020.
Diana Scaturro, Supervisor of the Building Standards Unit for Californias Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD), Facilities Development Unit will be presenting.
Learning Objectives
1. Become familiar with some of the major changes in the 2019 California Building Standards Code that may affect the design of your projects submitted to OSHPD after January 1, 2020, Title 24, Parts 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5
2. Find out what the new designations of OSHPD 1R and OSHPD 5 are all about and the design opportunities they provide
3. What will the California Energy Codes, Title 24 Part 6, require for healthcare facilities beginning January 1, 2020? Find out what compliance calcs, forms and resources will be available
4. Learn about the application of the California Existing Building Code, Title 24 Part 10 standards to OSHPD buildings
