York Youth Symphony Orchestra: Three Dances

The York Youth Symphony, under the direction of our conductor/director, Brian Buterbaugh, will present pieces such as the Overture to Egmont, In the Steppes of Central Asia, and Three Dances from the Bartered Bide.
'Three Dances from the Bartered Bride' is from Smetana's second Opera and provides a fundamental soundscape of national Bohemian music. Come out and dance in your seats while we present the sentiment of Bohemia, where: "the trumpets never call to battle. They always call to the dance. - Rafael Kubelik
Tickets are required for this event.
Mission:
The YYSO creates a unique opportunity for elite youth musicians to learn a challenging repertoire with peers, perform in a variety of venues and expand their perspectives of what it means to be a musician.
