Kids Draw Architecture: Crocker Art Museum (2019 Experience Architecture)
In partnership with AIA California.

Bring your creativity and your curiosity and draw with AIA architects!

This educational program was originally created in 1988 by the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara to connect architects with children and their parents. Now in its 31st year, AIA Chapters will be hosting this family friendly sketching event on the same day across California!

The Central Valley Kid's Draw event will take place at the iconic Crocker Art Museum. The event is free and drawing materials, a light snack and water will be provided. Event is open to children of all ages. (Children MUST have an accompanying parent or guardian 18 or older participate with them.)

The group will first meet at Nacht & Lewis Architects 600 Q St #100, then walk or drive to the Crocker Art Museum: 216 O St, Sacramento.

Event led by Ida Clair, AIA with support by Yevgenia Watts, Assoc. AIA and Annie Luu, Assoc. AIA.

Sponsors: Comstocks Magazine, SMUD, Milgard Windows & Doors, Lionakis, and Fulcrum Properties.

Experience Architecture is a public-outreach event designed by AIA Central Valley to facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives; to create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity; and to highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture. The 2019 event is scheduled from October 1st - 13th.
