Gathering Sparks Accessible CD Release Concert
Gathering Sparks will celebrate their brand new CD on Thursday, October 3rd at Hugh's Room in Toronto. But for those who are not able to attend the Hugh's Room concert because of accessibility issues, we are offering a limited private concert in an accessible location on Saturday, September 21st.
Gathering Sparks' new album "All That's Real," on Borealis Records, blends finely crafted songs, transcendent vocals, stellar musicianship on guitar, keyboard, ukulele, and accordion, and compelling stories into a potent balm for troubled times. In times that cry out for love over hate, "All That's Real" delivers.
Writing together for the first time, band members Eve Goldberg & Jane Lewis combined their love of word play, strong melodies, and harmony singing to create eleven new songs (plus one cover of a Pete Townshend classic) that will take you on a journey from hopeful, to thoughtful, to joyful and back again.
Tickets are $25 advance, $30 at the door.

GATHERING SPARKS is the graceful collision of Eve Goldberg and Jane Lewis--musical friends who blend tight harmonies, finely crafted songs, and a love of participatory singing to create an intimate and uplifting experience. Their inclusive approach embraces folk, pop, blues, and gospel influences tastefully played on acoustic guitar, piano, accordion, and ukulele.
With their infectious mix of styles and compelling vocal blend, Gathering Sparks has quickly become an audience favourite. Their debut CD was nominated for a 2014 Canadian Folk Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year, and they have since toured across Canada and the US. Their song "Bringing in the Light" won the 2019 Folk Music Ontario "Songs From the Heart" award, Singer-Songwriter category.
