Tour of the Winn Center for Construction and Architecture at Cosumnes River College
Join the AIA Central Valley chapter as we tour the newly constructed Winn Center located on the Cosumnes River College campus. Already recognized as one the strongest academic community colleges in California, Cosumnes River College has taken another step to reinforce its prestigious position with the Winn Center for Construction and Architecture. This 41,500-sq.-ft. design-build facility by Lionakis and DPR Construction houses the construction, architecture, pharmacy technology and photography programs for the college campus. In addition to classroom space, there are design studios, laboratories and a Community Room.
The Winn Center for Construction and Architecture is designed to bring construction and architecture professionals together to work and learn as a team. It also serves as a gathering place for members of the industry to meet and interact with each other and with students aspiring to join them in the industry.
The project is pursuing LEED Platinum certification.
Cost: AIA Members $15(+ svc fee)/ Non-members $20 (+ svc fee), Students with ID may attend for free
Parking: Parking will not be charged for this event, please enter the campus via the east entrance on Bruceville Rd. and park in the new parking structure Location: Cosumnes River College, 8401 Center Pkwy, Sacramento
